High School Division – How to Quality
Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation HS Team Trail Nationals Composition
ABN State Dues, BASS Nation & Bassmaster dues have to be paid in order to compete in Alabama BASS Nation or Sanctioned Trail.
Alabama Bass Nation membership that would compete in B.A.S.S. Nation High School National Championship (High School)
Based on 8 Regionals / 1 High School State Championship / Total Number of BASS Nation members Participating During the Year

Each Participating Team Trail will be able to qualify at least one (1) team per twenty-five (25) unique participating teams (50 anglers) paid B.A.S.S. Nation unique members. Angler of the Year- Based on 300-499 (Active Members) 1st and 2nd Place AOY Team from each Division qualify (Anglers of the Year) from of each of the two divisions will qualify for Nationals (AOY calculated based on the 3 Highest finishes of the 4 Events. There will not be a drop if only 3 Events are held. Must have 3 events for AOY Calculations. Tiebreaker for AOY will be the highest total weight from the teams highest 3 scores out of the 4 tournaments for the 1st place or the 2nd place AOY teams. |

Remaining places will come from the 2024-2025 ABNHS State Championship based on active BASS memberships submitted by Alabama BASS Nation Team Trail before June 1st of each year in excel format only.
Updates from BASS Opens High School and Juniors
- BASS High school Open qualifying will go back to the top 10% of the field.
- BASS Juniors Open qualifying will stay at the Top 10 from each tournament.
Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation High School Team Trail State Championship
How Teams Qualify for State Championship based on Results listed below:
Individual
- 2-Man Teams may qualify to our Championship by finishing in the TOP 80 AOY Results in both Divisions based on best 3 finishes out of the 4 Regional Qualifiers in the ABNHS Team Trail (HS Only)
6 man High School Team: ABN High School State Championship Only
- 6-Man Team Qualification – We now take the 1st Place (6-man team) from each of the 8 Regionals to the ABN High School State Championship. We will not drop down for double qualifiers. 24 possible teams added to the 160 AOY bringing total to 184 at State Championship
- Teams may change fishing partners during the tournament season, however your (AOY) Angler of the Year points will start over. Teams that are near the top in the Points may elect to fish alone with observer to maintain points for AOY.
Only teams competing in ABN HS Trail as a registered and current BASS Nation member or Youth Club are eligible for the ABN HS State Championship by Qualifications listed above.
Junior Division – How to Quality
Alabama High School Dues, BASS Nation & Bassmaster dues have to be paid in order to compete in Alabama BASS Nation or Sanctioned Trail.
Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation Junior Team Trail Nationals Composition
- 1st Place of Junior State Championship will qualify for Junior National Championship and our Top 2 Angler Of The Year Teams will receive the 2nd and 3rd spot to the National Championship Best 3 of 4 will determine the AOY total and if there is a tie for 2nd place AOY Tiebreaker for AOY will be the highest total weight from the teams highest 3 scores out of the 4 tournaments for the 1st place or the 2nd place AOY teams.
Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation Junior Team Trail State Championship
- Juniors must fish 2 of the 4 Regional Tournaments to qualify to fish at the Junior State Championship
- Angler of the Year will be awarded at the end of the season (4 Regionals combined for AOY Results)
Note:
